Powder Springs city parks are open daily from dawn to dusk. Thurman Springs Park in the heart of town connects to the Silver Comet Trail and has a splash pad, a play area and a large open lawn. Silver Comet Linear Park on Richard D. Sailors Parkway has two playgrounds, restrooms and a covered basketball court. Powder Springs Park on Brownsville Road has picnic areas and pavilions, but check its status first, because the city has listed it as closed for renovations. Cobb County runs Wild Horse Creek Park on Macedonia Road (home of Seven Springs Water Park, with a reservable pavilion) and Lost Mountain Park on Dallas Highway, which has picnic pavilions.
